Many thanks to Lord Mayor Julia Flaherty who very kindly invited our Student Council to visit the Council Chamber and Lord Mayor’s Parlour this week. After morning tea, scones and pastries, the Student Council assembled in the Council Chamber for the 'Lord Mayor’s Question Time'. After much discussion, a proposal was made to invite the Lord Mayor to attend an SJBC Student Council meeting to review issues within our community from a teenager’s perspective. Subsequently, votes were cast resulting in a unanimous 'Yes' for her or a Councillor to attend!
Many thanks to our Lord Mayor for taking time out of her extremely busy schedule to host our visit this week. We are looking forward to welcoming her at SJBC in the very near future.
