Bernie T's retirement marks the end of an era and the celebration of an extraordinary woman who gave far more than her job ever required. She was the go-to person for everyone—if she didn’t know the answer, she would find it, and she did so with kindness and determination. Bernie seemed to know everyone in the community, and she made it her mission to go above and beyond, especially for the children at the school, who were always at the heart of everything she did. More than a dedicated colleague, she became a true friend to so many. Her impact, care, and warmth will be deeply missed, and it’s no surprise that everyone loved Bernie.
Bernie was the kind of person who could juggle five jobs at once while dealing with two workmen arriving on site, and she never seemed to flinch. Her calm manner in school, combined with her many talents, enabled her to do far more than her role ever demanded. No matter how busy she was, Bernie was always willing to help others, offering support with patience, warmth, and a reassuring smile. Her ability to handle everything with such grace is something that will be long remembered.
Bernie will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of working with her, and we hope to see her again soon as she begins this well-deserved next chapter.
